Edinburgh's Advice Network is comprised of a diverse group of organisations, each playing a vital role in delivering essential advice services to the citizens of Edinburgh. Our members specialise in a wide range of areas, including benefits, debt, housing, energy, and immigration support.

Citizens Advice Edinburgh
Provides advice across a range of topics including benefits, debt, housing, immigration, consumer and employment.

The Advice Shop
Provides free, confidential and impartial information and advice on all aspects of welfare rights, benefits and debt matters.

CHAI
Provides advice on benefits, debt, housing and employability across a range of outreach and embedded services.

Granton Information Centre
Provides advice on benefits and debt in North Edinburgh including a range of embedded and outreach services.

An Edinburgh-based national organisation addressing homelessness by offering services focused on prevention, early intervention, and support into housing.

Edinburgh Food Project
Delivers an emergency food provision in Edinburgh alongside a range of services including benefits advice.

The Action Group
Delivers a care and support provision in Edinburgh alongside a range of services including advice on benefits and community and residential care.

Age Scotland
A national organisation offering telephone advice to older people on topics such as benefits, community and residential care, future planning, housing, consumer issues, and energy.

ELREC promotes a prejudice-free society with respect, integrity, and justice, delivering projects on discrimination, tenants' rights, energy, environment, and inclusion.

Scottish Huntington's Association
SHA offers specialist support to families affected by Huntington's disease, including welfare rights and debt advice.

FAIR
Provides holistic information and advice for people with learning disabilities and their carers on issues including welfare rights and financial capability

Social Bite
Social Bite works to end homelessness through programmes that provide homes, jobs, food and support. They advise on topics including benefits, budgeting and housing.

VOCAL
VOCAL (Voice of Carers Across Lothian) supports unpaid carers, offering services like information, advice, 1-1 support, counselling, advocacy, and welfare rights checks.

Maggie's
Supports people impacted by Cancer with the provision of a range of specialist support services including Welfare Rights advice

EUSA Advice Place
Provides information and advice to Edinburgh University current students on a range of topics including benefits and money issues; academic; housing; violence, harassment and crime

Hillcrest Homes
Hillcrest Homes provides social rented housing across Scotland with various support services provided to tenants including a Welfare Rights advice service

Home Energy Scotland
Home Energy Scotland works to help people create warmer homes, reduce energy bills and lower their carbon footprint with services including energy advice

Shelter Scotland
Shelter campaigns for the right to affordable, decent housing alongside the provision of advice and support on Housing Rights.

Harbour Homes
Harbour Homes provides affordable housing in north Edinburgh and offers various advice services to tenants. These include benefits, debt, tenancy sustainment and energy advice.

ENSA Advice
Provides advice to Edinburgh Napier University students across a range of topics including academic issues, housing, budgeting, student funding, benefits and other welfare issues.

The University of Edinburgh
University of Edinburgh's Equally Safe Team provides support and advice to students affected by gender based violence.

Hanover Housing Association
Provides social rented housing across Scotland with various support services provided to tenants including a Welfare Rights advice service

Community One Stop Shop
Based in Broomhouse, provides services including a Pantry, Foodbank, Employability and an Advice Service covering benefits, housing, and limited debt advice.

Crisis
Advice, advocacy and support to people who are homeless, or at risk of homelessness, including on housing rights, resolving homelessness, financial management and wellbeing.

Prospect Community Housing
Provides social rented housing in West Edinburgh with various support services provided to tenants including Welfare Rights and Energy Advice

Changeworks
Changeworks works to enable low-carbon living and tackle fuel poverty with services including energy advice

Wheatley Homes East
Provides social rented housing with various support services provided to tenants including Welfare Rights and Fuel advice services and Money Advice for people setting up home

Places for People
Provides social rented housing across Scotland with various services provided to tenants including Welfare Rights advice and Energy, Wellbeing, Employability and Digital Support

Viewpoint Housing Association
Provides social rented housing with various support services provided to tenants including a Welfare Rights advice service

Community Renewal Trust
Community Renewal Trust works with local communities and people to reduce poverty and inequity, with services in Edinburgh including Welfare Rights and budgeting advice

Change Mental Health
Supports people affected by mental illness with a range of services, including support and advice for service users on accessing benefits

Settled
Settled provides information, advice and support to EU citizens living in the UK and specialise in complex immigration EU Settlement Scheme cases

Perennial
Advice and support to those working (or who have worked) in horticulture including on housing, health and social care, employment, training, benefits, family and relationships.

Christians Against Poverty
A faith based organisation which provides impartial, face to face debt advice to people from all faith backgrounds. There are three CAP debt advice centres in Edinburgh.

One Parent Families Scotland
Works with single parent families in Scotland, with support and advice topics including welfare rights, debt, access to training and work, childcare, family support and wellbeing.

Citizens Rights Project
Supports EU Nationals and their families in Scotland including advice on immigration, housing and benefits. Additionally, support provided to non- EU Nationals on the e-Visa scheme

Edinburgh Old Town Development Trust
Supports residents of the Old Town with a community hub hosting activities and services including advocacy, a foodbank, community lunch and energy advice

The Welcoming
Supports asylum seekers, refugees and migrants with a range of activities and services including Home Energy and General Information advice for New Scots.
