Rebecca Kay, Migration Policy Scotland (MPS), provides an update on the 'Moved to Scotland and Worrying About Money' leaflet that was developed earlier this year by MPS and Independent Food Aid Network (IFAN) in collaboration with Edinburgh Advice Network members. Two new versions of the resource have been drafted and your feedback on these is requested.

'Following positive feedback about the Moved to Scotland and Worrying About Money leaflet for Edinburgh, two new versions of the leaflet have now been drafted.
The service map was designed as a straight forward signposting tool better suited to migrant needs in order to address challenges for people who have moved to Scotland in navigating an unfamiliar landscape of advice and support services.
You can find further information on the original version and background at New Edinburgh Service Map suited to Migrant Needs
The new draft versions are:
A3 poster
This includes key information and could include a QR code linking to the leaflet (not all information can be fitted on). It could be displayed in places where the leaflet is available for people to take away, drawing their attention to it.
Easy read version
This version is quite lengthy because it follows the step by step process of the leaflet. IFAN usually recommend organisations stock one or two printed copies of these and they can be talked through with a service user who could then still take the shorter leaflet away with them. It is more of a booklet than a handout.
Before these are fully produced and put into print, we want to ensure these will be useful for people and that they will be used. Please provide feedback on whether you, or the people you support, would use these resources, and whether they could be improved or developed further.
