Becka Kay, Associate Director at Migration Policy Scotland, shares information about a new initiative to support capacity building of migrant organisations and for support from relevant organisations by completing a survey to understand migrant organisations' training needs better and otherwise by circulating the information on this.

'At Migration Policy Scotland we are in the initial stages of a new capacity building initiative called Building Capacity, Building Community, which seeks to strengthen the existing skills, expertise and knowledge of migrant groups and organisations across Scotland, supporting them to enhance their impact and better serve their communities.
As a starting point we have developed a short survey to understand migrant organisation's training needs. We are seeking to gather responses from a wide range of organisations (charities, community groups, CICs) who work directly with migrant communities in Scotland. We hope you will be willing to fill out the survey. This should take no more than 15 minutes to complete.
We will also run a series of online consultation events later in the autumn. If you are interested to take part in these please leave your email address at the end of the survey.
Please complete the survey online here and help us to reach a wider range of migrant organisations by forwarding this message other organisations in your networks.
If you have any questions about the survey or about MPS's work more generally, please don't hesitate to get in touch with anissa@migrationpolicyscotland.org.uk .
We very much hope that your organisation may benefit from a free bespoke training and leadership programme offered by MPS during the years 2026-2027 and 2027-2028.'
