Lora Vernon, Head of Digital and Communications and VOCAL, reaches out to invite you to an upcoming event on Wednesday 3rd June focusing on Carer Poverty. The event will bring together carers and practitioners to discuss the ongoing challenges of carer poverty and identify tangible actions for partners to take forward.

I’m getting in touch on behalf of VOCAL to invite you to our upcoming event, The Cost of Unpaid Caring, focused on carer poverty, on Wednesday 3 June from 10am to 1pm at Nicolson Square Venues. Refreshments and lunch will be provided, and from 1pm to 3pm, there will be stalls where carers can access advice on financial wellbeing.
The event will bring together carers and practitioners to discuss the ongoing challenges of carer poverty and identify tangible actions for partners to take forward. The programme will include:
Examples of current issues and good practice from across the sector
Group discussions on key issues and policy context, including caring and employment and the Minimum Income Standard
Lived experience contributions from carers
A marketplace for carers offering advice on financial wellbeing (including benefits, energy, and access to mobility equipment)
