John Baird, Head of Partnerships at Advice Direct Scotland updates Edinburgh Advice Network members on the launch of Advocacy.Scot, which will be replacing VoiceAbility as the provider of SSS in-person advocacy services from Monday 2nd February.

'We are pleased to introduce Advocacy.Scot, the new provider of Social Security Scotland in-person advocacy services.

Advocacy.Scot will operate as part of Advice Direct Scotland, Scotland’s national advice charity, ensuring a strong foundation of expertise and commitment to supporting people across the country.

Our approach is collaborative, not competitive. We are keen to work alongside local advocacy organisations and wider stakeholders recognising and valuing the vital role you play in supporting individuals and communities.

We intend to participate meaningfully in existing meetings and networks, contributing to shared goals and strengthening advocacy provision through partnership.

We have started to establish a collaborative communications and engagement group to gauge the need to develop tailored messaging and promotional materials that address the specific needs and priorities of our stakeholder audiences.

We look forward to building strong, positive relationships that deliver the best outcomes for those we serve.'
