EAN April Partners Update Session: Slides and Q+A Summary

A summary of the Q+A session as well as a copy of all the slides for the Edinburgh Advice Network Online Partners Updates session on 28th April 2025 has now been published in the Resources section of the Edinburgh Advice Network website.

It includes the following presentations:

• DWP: Presentation on their Redundancy services - RRS and PACE

• City of Edinburgh Council: Budget vs Demand for Discretionary Housing Payment

• SSS: Low-Income Benefits Overview

There is a summary of all the issues and questions raised during the Q+A and this includes updates from the Advice Shop and a few other organisations where no slideshow was shared.

In addition, since the session, DWP have shared with us their latest escalation routes (updated in April 2025) and these are included with the documents. Social Security Scotland confirmed during the session that there are no specific adviser escalation routes currently, however they have since shared an update on potential future developments in this area (see the Q+A summary document page 4).
