Gemma Sandie, partnerships officer at Home Energy Scotland shares information about their Spring Advisory Forum which will be held on Thursday 8th May and focuses on the Radio Teleswitch Service (RTS) Switch-off.

'You are warmly invited to our Spring Advisory Forum on Thursday the 8th of May at Orchard Brae House (full details below). In this session we will be focusing on the Radio Teleswitch Service (RTS) Switch-off.
The RTS uses a radio signal to tell some electricity meters when to switch between peak and off-peak rates. RTS is an industry-wide service affecting approximately 600,000 households across the UK. However, the technology is being switched off on Monday 30th of June 2025.
In this session we aim to equipped you with the knowledge of what RTS is and what householders can do if they have a RTS meter. Join us for a day of learning, sharing and networking!
What to expect:
An expert overview of storage heaters and RTS meters.
Insightful discussions on how to engage with householders who have an RTS meter.
