Are you part of a community group or NGO looking to deepen your knowledge on how to use the law in a strategic way to bring about change in areas like housing, immigration, discrimination, community care, welfare or education?
The Strategic Legal Advice Committee has partnered with JustRight Scotland, Public Law Project and The Justice Together Initiative to present an introduction to strategic litigation for NGOs and Community Groups.
The event will take place in 𝗚𝗹𝗮𝘀𝗴𝗼𝘄 𝗼𝗻 𝗧𝗵𝘂𝗿𝘀𝗱𝗮𝘆 𝟮 𝗢𝗰𝘁𝗼𝗯𝗲𝗿 𝟮𝟬𝟮𝟱, 𝟵𝗮𝗺 – 𝟰𝗽𝗺, 𝘄𝗶𝘁𝗵 𝗮𝗻 𝗼𝗽𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻𝗮𝗹 𝗱𝗿𝗶𝗻𝗸𝘀 𝗿𝗲𝗰𝗲𝗽𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻 𝗮𝘁 𝟰 – 𝟱𝗽𝗺.
The training will provide the opportunity to think about and discuss the casework and policy problems your organisation is seeing. The session will be an introduction to using the law to instigate change and how to prepare challenges. No prior knowledge or experience of using the law in this way is required.
