Money Counts Training

  • 1 min read

This is aimed at any colleagues across sectors who work directly with residents. It is essential that residents don’t feel ashamed to ask for help with their money worries and are treated with empathy and compassion when they do.

We’ve found that if people get the right support at the earliest point, their money worries are less likely to escalate and become longer-term. Money Counts training will teach participants practical tools for helping residents manage their finances and access financial support.

The next Money Counts training sessions are:

  • Tuesday 8th April

  • Wednesday 7th May

  • Wednesday 18th June

  • Thursday 24th July

  • Monday 25th August

The course outcomes include;

  • Increased awareness of the scale, cause and impact of poverty

  • Develop skills and confidence to ask about money worries

  • Increased knowledge of available support for people who have money worries
