NEW amending regulations on LCWRA changes in April - updated resources from Housing Systems

Julia Service from Housing Systems, shares important updates relating to their December 2025 LCWRA Changes Workshop, following the amendment of the regulations last week. The updated materials have been added to the Resources section of the Edinburgh Advice Network website.

'Last week the government published new amending Regulations that expand the definition of ‘pre-2026 claimant’.

This has opened up a new window of opportunity for many claimants, and means that some claimants (who may have thought were too late) haven’t missed the deadline for getting the higher ‘protected’ rate of LCWRA.

We are preparing new sessions to explain the regulations and what this will mean for claimants.

For those who have not already attended training on the April 26 LCWRA changes: A new, updated, LCWRA Changes e-learning course will be available in the new few days via our website.
