New Disabled People's Spotlight Report from Scottish Trans

Ahead of the Transgender day of Visibility on 31st March, Scottish Trans have launched a new Disabled People's Spotlight Report. Vic Valentine shares information on this report, which builds on their original research findings on Scottish Trans and Non-binary Experiences. The research explores many aspects of daily life, including the experiences of Trans people accessing services including Advice Services.

'I wanted to let you know that at the end of last week, we launched our “Disabled People’s Spotlight Report”.

This is because we noticed in our findings that disabled trans and non-binary people often had much worse experiences than non-disabled trans and non-binary people. We wanted to dive deeper into these issues, build on the recommendations in our original report, and highlight that working towards disability justice is central to furthering trans and non-binary people’s equality and human rights.
