Scottish Frontline Network

The Scottish Frontline Network (part of the UK wide Frontline Network) has been facilitated by Cyrenians since 2016 and aims to support frontline workers who work with people at risk of homelessness or currently experiencing homelessness across Scotland.

The Network facilitates free events and training sessions, providing a regular opportunity for frontline workers to network, share expertise and experience, and link to decisionmakers. We also share monthly bulletins with news, resources and other events happening across the sector. Find an example of our most recent bulletin below, and you can sign up to the mailing list here!

Training Opportunities

The network facilitates a range of training opportunities as well as linking practitioners in with training from other providers. Past sessions have included:

  • Section 17 Support for Families with NRPF This free, online course, part of the Frontline Network’s Outsourced Training programme, will look in depth at Section 17 support for families with No Recourse to Public Funds and is aimed at professionals working with these families.

  • Strengths-Based Approaches This free, one-day online course, part of the Frontline Network’s Outsourced Training programme, will support you to develop strength-based approaches within your role. The course will align these approaches with a psychologically-informed environments framework (PIE) and trauma-informed practice.

  • Conflict Resolution Series – How to have that difficult conversation This bite-sized online event from SCCR will help you manage difficult situations compassionately and make you a better communicator. The session will provide practical tips on managing a tricky conversation and ways that you can support yourselves and others through them.

Sign up to the mailing list to hear about future sessions early and avoid missing out
