Trans Day of Visibility Webinar

Updated: Feb 26

Florence Oulds from Scottish Trans shares information about an upcoming seminar that may be of interest; it was highlighted to us by Yvonne Kerr, Strategic Programme Manager at NHS Lothian (Public Health).

'Scottish Trans would like to invite you to attend our free online Trans Day of Visibility Webinar on April 2nd at 1pm.

The webinar will cover some of the highlights from our Scottish Trans and Non-binary Experiences Research Report to give a snapshot of what life is like for our community in Scotland, the barriers we encounter in our daily lives, and recommendations on how services and organisations can remove these.

You’ll learn more about trans and non-binary people’s experiences with: public services, GPs, neighbourhoods, housing, homelessness, work, benefits, and the cost of living. This is an ideal session for policy or decision makers, service providers, third sector workers, and trans people or allies seeking more data to support their advocacy. The presentation should last about 30 minutes, followed by some time for Q&A.

To find our more and register for the event, check out the Outsavvy page

Please feel free to share the event with any colleagues or other groups and organisations who may be interested. If you have any questions about the event or would like to discuss how the report’s findings and recommendations could be relevant to your organisation or service, please get in touch.

Many thanks,

Florence Oulds (she/her)
