Angela Voulgari, Equally Safe Edinburgh Committee Lead Officer for Edinburgh, shares their Domestic Abuse Safety Planning Booklet as well as and other resources that may be useful for advice services in Edinburgh. She also shares information from the Improvement Service about upcoming training in April which Angela recommends to anyone with an interest in domestic abuse 'it’s probably one of the best learning opportunities I have ever attended.'



Domestic Abuse Safety Planning Booklet


This booklet is for people of any age, gender, cultural, ethnic or religious background who might be affected by domestic abuse. It is also a resource for anyone working with people who might be affected by domestic abuse and their children.



Training: Introduction to Spider in the Glass: Exploring a trauma-informed response to domestic abuse


Following its success in March 2025, the Improvement Service and NHS Highland are repeating this webinar for 2 more sessions in April. This webinar aims to bring awareness to women’s experiences of domestic abuse, and show what a trauma informed response to domestic abuse looks like in practice. Who is this session for? Professionals who support or work with people affected by or experiencing domestic abuse/ coercive controlling behaviours within a relationship, and those seeking to understand trauma within that context.
