'We closed the EAN Event Planning Poll on Wednesday having received 31 responses from a wide range of practitioners in the network.

There was a wide spread of preferences across the topics, however the following three topped the poll:

  • Social Security Scotland Decision Making and Appeals

  • Routes out of Poverty including Employability, Healthcare and Access to Mental Health Supports

  • Benefit Overpayments

The EAN Event Planning group will meet next week to discuss the best approach to covering as many of the highest priority issues as possible, as well as also factoring in topics requested by the Edinburgh Advice Partnership (such as Gender Based Violence) and remaining flexible on emerging issues.

There will be time in next week's EAN session to begin exploring a couple of the above top issues which will help to frame further discussion.

If you have any ideas, suggestions or contributions that you would like to offer to help with event planning, please reach out to the Jo Baldock, Advice Network Coordinator at joanne.baldock@capitalcitypartnership.org'
